 Gudivada, July 21 (prajaamaravati): The Covid-19 positivity rate in the state has come down to 2.83 per cent, said Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani), state civil supplies and consumer affairs minister.  Minister Kodali Nani spoke to reporters at Krishna District, Gudivada on Wednesday. Eight districts in the state have a positivity rate of less than three.  Another five districts recorded between three to five per cent positivity.  The recovery rate in covid cases is over 98 per cent. we are effectively facing the corona second wave.  As part of this, we are conducting large-scale corona diagnostic tests. 1,154 people in 9 mandals of the Gudivada division were tested for corona virus.  Of these, 17 were diagnosed with corona virus.  Twelve people were tested in the Mandavalli mandal and two were said to be infected with the corona virus.  Also, 41 people were tested in Gudivada rural mandal, two of whom were infected with the corona virus.  In Nandivada mandal, 62 people were tested, three of them, in Kaikaluru mandal, 122 people were tested, three of them, in Gudivada town, 137 people were tested, two of them, in Kalidindi mandal, 110 people were tested, two of them, 144 people tested in the Pedaparupudi mandal, one of them, in the Pamarru mandal 323 were tested, two of whom were diagnosed with corona virus, while none of the 66 people who tested positive for the corona virus in the Mudinepalli mandal were infected.  Minister Kodali Nani said the positivity in the Gudivada division was 1.47 per cent.
