YCP MPs bending like docile cats before Modi: Lokesh
Only a TDP MP can fight for AP issues in Parliament
Jagan just another cat meowing for PM's attention
Lokesh asks voters not to send another meek cat to Parliament
MUTHUKUR (Nellore district) (prajaamaravati): TDP National General Secretary and MLC Nara Lokesh on Tuesday called upon the Tirupati voters to vote for the Telugu Desam Party nominee in this by-election in order to teach a strong lesson to the arrogant and anti-people Jaganmohan Reddy Government.
Mr. Lokesh stressed the need for sending former Union Minister Panabaka Lakshmi to Parliament so that CM Jagan Reddy would stop flying in the sky and never oppress the people again with his taxes and financial burdens. If the YSRCP would be defeated in this election, then the Chief Minister would certainly reduce house tax and water tax besides fulfilling his promises on pensions and benefits to all sections.
Mr. Nara Lokesh held door to door campaigning in several localities in the Sarvepalli assembly constituency and later addressed an impressive public meeting at the Muthuku main road. He launched a scathing attack on the Jagan regime, saying that the YSRCP 's 28 MPs have done nothing for the State and they were just behaving like docile cats afraid of PM Modi. The Chief Minister was no better and he bowed like a frightened cat in front of the Prime Minister once in the past.
Announcing that the election war was started from the Tirupati election, Mr. Lokesh said that the people of the State were suffering now because of the hot summer on the one side and constant tax punishments being given by the Jagan Reddy Government. This CM was punishing all sections of society with his dubious policies and acts like selling cheap, harmful liquor brands under the names of 'Special Status' and 'Boom Boom'.
Mr. Lokesh recalled how from the beginning CM Jagan has looked down upon the Dalits and how his Ministers and MLAs have tgargetted the weaker sections' people. There was no minimum effort to do justice when a Dalit woman was attacked, abused and murdered in the Chief Minister's own Pulivendula assembly constituency. Dr. Sudhakar was humiliated, arrested and beaten on the middle of the road in Visakhapatnam. Dr. Anitha Rani was harassed and insulted just for opposing the illegal activities of the ruling party leaders.
Mr. Lokesh described it as a 'JCB regime' which marked the imposition of heavy Jagan Reddy taxes on the people in addition to the unbearable corruption and heavy burdens in the form of increased prices. Under the 'burden Reddy' rule, the rate of dal went up to Rs. 67 from the previous Rs. 40 under the Chandrababu rule. The rate of sugar went up from Rs. 20 to Rs. 34 per kg. Tamarind price increased from Rs. 114 to Rs. 251 leaving the ordinary families helpless. Petrol, diesel touched Rs. 100 while the gas cylinder went up to Rs. 1,000.
The TDP leader reminded the poor people how the YSRCP Government was betraying them by giving Rs. 10 from one hand and taking away Rs. 100 from another hand. Prior to the election, the CM talked about the DSC jobs every year but there was talk about that in the past two years. Even the fee reimbursement was not being given to the students. Ammavadi was being given to just one child as against the Jagan Reddy promise to cover all children in the family.
Recalling more promises to poor families, Mr. Lokesh asked why the Chief Minister fell silent on financial assistance to women belonging to SC, ST sections after crossing 45 years of age. Another empty promise made by the CM was Rs. 3,000 pension to the aged people. Mr. Jagan Reddy did not hesitate to cheat even the grandmas and grandpas who lost Rs. 9,000 per year and Rs. 45,000 in five years because of the CM's betrayal.
Earlier, the TDP MLC termed it as laughable the silly efforts of the YCP leaders to make the people believe all the lies and falsehoods they were spreading. Jagan Reddy might cook up any sort of insider trading stories and file any number of false cases. Eventually, Amaravati Capital City would prove its divinity and it would save itself. The Jagan regime could not find single transgression in Amaravati lands and finally filed an SC, ST atrocities case based on a non-weaker section Reddy's complaint.
