Lokesh: YCP rule denying both Govt and private jobs
Hands over Rs 2 lakh to mother of Kurnool suicide victim
YCP regime destroying all opportunities
Unemployed youth should not lose hope but fight
AMARAVATI (prajaamaravati): TDP National General Secretary and MLC Nara Lokesh on Wednesday handed over Rs. 2 lakh financial assistance to the mother of Nagendra Prasad, who committed suicide at Gopalanagaram in Kurnool district after his dream of becoming a Government teacher lay shattered.
Mr. Lokesh handed over the cheque to Late Nagendra Prasad's mother Jayalakshmi at the TDP Central Office here. It may be recalled Nagendra ended his life at his native village after losing hope on Mr. Jagan Reddy's 'jobless calendar'. Nagendra's family members narrated how the unemployment problem had claimed his life.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nara Lokesh termed it as unfortunate that the AP youth were not getting jobs both in the Government and private sectors. Two years passed since Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy became the Chief Minister but his promise to fill the Government job vacancies was not fulfilled. However, the jobless youth should not get disheartened or depressed at the absence of job opportunities. The youth should fight for their future careers but not commit suicide.
Mr. Lokesh said that the personal loss that was caused to Ms. Jayalakshmi should not happen to any other mother in the State and the TDP would stand by the side of the unemployed youth till they would get justice in their struggle for jobs. Nagendra's mother pleaded that the TDP should extend all necessary support to give confidence to the youth.
Decrying the Government's 'false promises', Mr. Lokesh called upon the youth not to end their lives as that would only cause a great deal of pain and suffering to their parents and loved ones. All the youth and like-minded parties should join hands to wage a relentless battle for job opportunities. It was unfortunate that no new jobs were coming to AP even as the existing opportunities were also going away because of the anti-industry policies of the present rulers.
Mr. Lokesh deplored that the Chief Minister had betrayed the youth in the name of job calendar which was bereft of any opportunities. The youth should not take their own lives but instead they should follow the path of agitations in order to bring pressure on the YCP Government.
