Gudivada, Aug 31(prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) has said that over 4,000 applications have been received in Gudiwada town for the ambitious Jagananna Smart Town project launched by CM Jaganmohan Reddy. Minister Kodali Nani on Tuesday reviewed the applications received for the Jagananna Smart town Scheme, an affordable plot scheme in towns and cities in the state, and the steps being taken for land acquisition. On the occasion, Minister Kodali Nani said that the government has provided housing to about 30.70 lakh poor people in the state as part of Navaratnalu. He said that CM Jaganmohan Reddy had initiated the Jagananna Smart town Scheme with the aim of fulfilling the dream of middle class people. The government has selected Gudivada municipality along with Machilipatnam Corporation in the district for the first installment. Rs 3 lakh to Those with an annual income of less than Rs 18 lakh are eligible under the scheme. The government has also made it possible for government employees to apply.
