 Gudivada, Aug 21 (prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) on Saturday inaugurated the village secretariat constructed at a cost of Rs 40 lakh in Kalvapudi Agraharam village in the rural mandal under Krishna District Gudiwada constituency.  Gudivada MDO A. Venkataramana, Village Sarpanch Poturi Venkateswaramma, Minister Kodali Nani along with village elders unveiled the plaque.  Minister Kodali Nani conducted the pooja on the occasion.  All sections of the village secretariat were examined.  Inquired about the services being provided to the people by the Secretariat. Later, Minister Kodali Nani said that CM Jaganmohan Reddy had brought in the secretariat and volunteer systems like nowhere else in the country.  Government services are being provided close to people's homes through these systems. They want to make available the lists of government services available to the public through the secretariats.  CM Jaganmohan Reddy wants to keep the welfare calendar and important phone numbers of the government available in the secretariats. Eligible lists for government schemes must be affixed. They also want to keep phone numbers on who to complain to if eligible government schemes do not arrive.  They want to ensure that the biometric devices, scanners and hardware provided to the secretariats work properly. Registers and records management should be regular. Biometric attendance of employees and attendance of volunteers should also be regularized. The staff wanted to be available to the public after attendance. In particular, the staff of the village and ward secretariats were advised to hone their skills. Only then will people get better services. He said it was important to welcome people who come to apply for government schemes with a smile.
