 Gudivada, Aug 30 (prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) is constantly monitoring the housing progress in Krishna District Gudivada constituency.  Minister Kodali Nani on Monday once again reviewed the progress of construction of nearly 12,000 houses sanctioned by the government in the constituency.  As part of the mega grounding mela held in Gudiwada town, Nandivada, Gudlavalleru and Gudiwada rural mandals on July 1, 3 and 4, large-scale housing projects were also completed.  However, Minister Kodali Nani himself is also holding review meetings with the officials of the Departments of Housing, Revenue, RWS etc. on constituency wise basis on the progress of housing.  Contractors were ordered to immediately carry out grounding works in the area where they came forward.  He said the government was making arrangements to pay the bills to the contractors at the end of each month.  Later, Minister Kodali Nani said 27 layouts were laid in 22 villages in Nandivada mandal of Gudivada constituency, out of which houses were distributed to 1,578 beneficiaries.  Of these, 1,478 have been sanctioned by the government for housing.  Another 430 have been given permission to build houses on their own plots of land and so far the grounding of 166 houses has been completed.  2,280 houses have been allotted in Gudlavalleru mandal.  In the first installment, the government has sanctioned 725 houses in seven layouts in seven villages.  So far the grounding of 62 houses has been completed.  The government has also given permission for the construction of 2,070 houses in another 23 layouts.  Apart from these, 400 own plots of land have also been given for construction of houses.  In Gudivada Rural Mandal, 24 layouts have been laid and permits have been issued for construction of houses for 1,301 beneficiaries.  Permits were issued as another 270 people came forward to build houses on the own plots of land.  Grounding has been completed for 40 houses.  Permission has been granted for construction of 5,594 houses in the layout under Mallaipalem, Rural Mandal, Gudiwada town.  Apart from these, permits have also been issued for the construction of houses for 240 people who own their own plots of land.  Meanwhile, mapping, registration, issuance of job cards and geo-tagging of houses being constructed by the government are almost complete, he said.  Reverse tenders for construction materials cost Rs. 5, 120 crore has been saved.  He said he had saved about Rs 32,000 on the purchase of construction materials for each house.  We are distributing construction materials to the beneficiaries, for which the government has created a special app.  We strictly follow the CM's instructions to adhere to quality standards in the supply of construction materials. DPRs were ready for the creation of infrastructure in the Jagananna colonies.  Minister Kodali Nani said that CM Jaganmohan Reddy had also directed to provide internet facility in the colonies.
