 Gudivada, Aug 12 (prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) on Thursday conducted a bhumi puja and stone laying ceremony for the construction of Kollareddy Ramireddy-Sushilamma Garla Kalyana Mandapam in Lingavaram village in Gudivada rural mandal.  Vedic scholars performed pujas on this occasion.  There are no wedding halls available for the villagers to celebrate good deeds in Lingavaram.  With this, some are coming to the wedding halls in the surrounding areas, while others are holding functions near the houses.  Against this backdrop, prominent businessman Kollareddy Raghavareddy, celebrities Gadireddy Ramalingareddy and Gadireddy Chiranjeevireddy came forward to build a Kalyana Mandapam in Lingavaram village that would be accessible to all.  Minister Kodali Nani is also working on the construction of the Kalyana Mandapam.  After the laying of the foundation stone, Minister Kodali Nani along with the village elders inspected the construction site and surroundings of the Kalyana Mandapam.  A marriage hall will be built at Lingavaram with all the trappings.  Once the construction of the Kalyana Mandapam  is completed here, the people of Lingavaram and the surrounding area will be able to celebrate good deeds and other functions when needed.  Later, Minister Kodali Nani honored prominent businessman Kollareddy Raghavareddy and eminent Gadireddy Ramalingareddy with garlands.  Raghavareddy paid Rs. 50 lakhs, Ramalingareddy Rs.10 lakhs, Gadireddy Chiranjeevireddy Rs.10 lakhs.  YCP state leader Dukkipati Sasibhushan, celebrities Gadireddy Hemasunderreddy, Malireddy Narasareddy, Malireddy Srinivasareddy, K Yedukondalu, Arjunarao, Polukonda Koteshwara Rao, Kanumolu Omkar, Gadireddy Manohar Reddy, Mandapati Sivaramakrishna, Mandapati Gopalaswamy, Kallepally Shankara Rao and others were present on the occasion.
