Gudivada, Aug 2 (prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) said that a large number of Covid-19 diagnostic tests were being conducted across the state and 1,393 corona diagnostic tests were conducted in Gudivada division on Monday alone. Covid-19 diagnostic tests, positive cases and positivity were reviewed in nine mandals in Krishna District Gudivada division. On the occasion, Minister Kodali Nani said that 139 people were tested for corona virus in Gudivada rural mandal, of whom 9 were infected with corona virus. Of the 255 people tested in Gudivada town, seven were infected, 334 tested in the Pamarru mandal, another seven were infected, 99 people tested in Pedaparupudi mandal and two were infected for the corona virus. Corona diagnostic tests were performed on 91 people in Gudlavalleru mandal, 99 people in Kaikaluru mandal, 97 people in Kalidindi mandal, 35 people in Mandavalli mandal, 161 people in Mudinepalli mandal and 83 people in Nandivada mandal and none of them were infected with the virus. The corona positivity rate in the division was recorded at 1.79 per cent. Meanwhile, active cases in the state are declining significantly. There are currently 21,000 active cases. The recovery rate was 98.25 percent. He said the positivity rate was less than 3 per cent in nine districts of the state. In the other three districts, the positivity rate was less than 5 per cent. Minister Kodali Nani said that only one district has a positivity rate of more than 5 per cent.
