 Nandigama, Sep 3 (prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) along with MLA Mondithoka Jaganmohan Rao on Friday inaugurated the newly set up Garuda Eye Hospital at Vijaya Talkies Road in Nandigama, Krishna district.  Nandigama MLA Jaganmohanarao, former Vice Chairman of Gudivada Municipal Corporation Adapa Babji, John Wesley and others inaugurated the reception and lab on the occasion.  On this occasion, Minister Kodali Nani inspected the hospital's refraction room, operation theater, doctors' rooms and opticals.  Dr. Somu Sriharsha and Dr. Narayana explained to Minister Kodali Nani about the medical equipment set up in the hospital.  On the occasion, Minister Kodali Nani said that the establishment of Garuda Eye Hospital in Nandigama using latest technology is commendable.  It is suggested that better medicine be provided at the lowest possible cost to those who come with eye problems.  People in Nandigama and surrounding areas want to avail the services of Garuda Eye Hospital.  The state government is also ambitiously implementing the YSR Kanti Velugu program to address eye problems.  CM Jaganmohan Reddy has decided to conduct eye examinations for about 5 crore people in the state. The goal of the YSR Kanti Velugu program is to address eye problems.  CM Jagan hopes that no one in the state will suffer from eye problems and that no one should stay away from eye sight due to lack of treatment.  With good intentions, 56.88 lakh people over the age of 60 in the state are undergoing cataract tests for their grandparents.  The government has set up 413 teams for this.  The government is conducting screening camps from PHC level to teaching hospitals after the corona virus decline.  It also offers free eye glasses.  The government aims to provide better treatment to poor patients.  At the corporate level, medical care for eye problems is being provided to the poor.  Doctors at the LV Prasad Eye Hospital in Hyderabad were also trained in teams.  This will enable doctors to perform cataract surgeries more efficiently.  The event was attended by YCP leader Adapa Jagdish (Pandu) and others from Gudivada town.
