Gudivada, Sep 18 (Prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) said that a large number of Covid-19 diagnostic tests were being conducted across the state and 415 corona diagnostic tests were conducted in Gudivada division on Monday alone. Minister Kodali Nani reviewed the Covid-19 diagnostic tests and positivity in nine mandals in Krishna District Gudivada division. On the occasion, Minister Kodali Nani said that 11 people were tested for corona virus in Gudivada rural mandal, one of whom was infected with corona virus. In the Pedaparupudi mandal, 59 people were tested for corona and two were infected with the corona virus. In Kaikaluru mandal, 58 people were tested for corona virus and one was infected with the virus. In the Kalidindi mandal, 84 people were tested and one was said to be infected with the corona virus. In the Mudinepalli mandal, corona tests were conducted on 75 people and three were infected with the virus. Corona diagnostic tests were conducted on 26 people in Gudivada town, 81 in Pamarru mandal, three in Gudlavalleru mandal, 15 in Mandavalli mandal and three in Nandivada mandal and none of them were infected with the virus. The division recorded a corona positivity rate of 1.93 percent. Meanwhile, active cases in the state are declining significantly. There are currently more than 14,000 active cases. The recovery rate was 98.60 per cent. He said zero cases were registered in 10 thousand 494 secretariats in the state. The fever survey has been conducted in 18 installments so far. Arogyasree Network hospitals and private hospitals, he said that corona patients are getting better treatment through YSR Arogyasree. CM Jaganmohan Reddy was taking all precautions in view of the corona third wave. Oxygen concentrators are looking to make D-type cylinders available. Oxygen pipeline works have been completed in 108 hospitals so far. Oxygen generation plants are being set up in more than 50 beded hospitals, he said. He said PSA plants would be set up in 140 hospitals across the state by October 6. CM Jaganmohan Reddy said the focus was on new treatment modalities related to Covid control in the Third Wave. Minister Kodali Nani said that all types of doctors are being prepared with a focus on the use of new drugs, better results and those with less side effects.
