 Gudivada, Sep 2 (prajaamaravati): VCP state leader Dukkipati Sashibhushan has said that the corona crisis has been going on for the last two years and efforts should be made to provide homeopathic medicines especially to the elderly.  On Thursday, under the auspices of the Regional Homeo Research Institute in Gudivada town, Krishna District, AYUSH Week was organized from the 30th of last month with a special focus on the distribution of immunization AYUSH medicines, diet and lifestyle management guidelines to the elderly population.  YCP state leader Dukkipati Sasibhushan addressed the gathering as the chief guest.  In the modern world the importance of ancient methods has diminished and so have the eating habits.  People are getting closer to junk food and more and more people are getting sick.  Specialist doctors are also coming for every ailment in the face of increasing technology.  They want to adopt a diet and a proper lifestyle to prevent any diseases.  Gudivada town is very popular for homeopathic medicine.  He said that every family with a white card at the research center here would get proper treatment.  He said expensive tests like scanning are also being conducted for free.  He praised the care taken for the health of the elderly in particular.  As part of the AYUSH Week celebrations, the provision of immunosuppressive drugs to the elderly is appreciated.  He said that such medicines were also being distributed door-to-door to the elderly and steps were being taken to prevent them from getting any viruses like corona.  The state government is also giving highest priority to medicine.  The government has set up 27 YSR health clinics and three urban health clinics in Gudivada constituency.  These will include ANMs and special quarters for doctors.  CM Jaganmohan Reddy said that steps are being taken to ensure 24 hours medical treatment for the poor. Every medical expenditure exceeding Rs 1,000 has been brought under the purview of Arogyasree.  Immunosuppressive drugs were then distributed to the elderly.  These drugs can also be used by those who have been vaccinated against corona.  The day of vaccination should not be used.  There are no dietary rules.  Do not take any food for 30 minutes after taking the medication.  Dukkipati congratulated the doctors who made arrangements to deliver these medicines door to door till next December.  Dukkipati was later felicitated by Superintendent Dr Srinivas.  Taught how to do yoga for the elderly.  The event was attended by Municipal Commissioner PJ Sampath Kumar, doctors Raju, Dr Brinda, former councilor Polasi Vasudeva Rao, yoga instructor Lilavati and others.
