 Gudivada, January 10 (prajaamaravati): Krishna District Gudivada town on Lingavaram Road in K. Convention, For the fifth year in a row, Kodali Srivenkateshwara Rao (Nani), Minister of State for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Andhra Pradesh, and his brother Kodali Nageswara Rao (Chinni) are organizing the prestigious Ongole Jaathi Edla Banda Laagudu competitions at the national level.  Under the auspices of the NTR to YSR Charitable Trust, the competition aims to promote agriculture and livestock.  Minister Kodali Nani and his brother Kodali Chinni said that as part of the Sankranthi celebrations from 2018, national level Ongole Jaathi Edla Banda Laagudu competitions are being organized. Organizers estimate that about 150 pairs of eds will be coming from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and other states for the competition. Heavy cash prizes will be awarded to the top 9 winners of the competition, which will be held in seven categories. 

The winners in the two-tooth category will receive Rs. 30 thousand, Rs. 25 thousand, Rs. 22 thousand, Rs.18 thousand, Rs.15 thousand, Rs. 13 thousand, Rs. 10 thousand, Rs. 8 thousand, Rs. 5,000 cash prizes will be awarded.  The winners in the four-tooth category will receive Rs. 35 thousand, Rs. 30 thousand, Rs. 25 thousand, Rs. 22 thousand, Rs. 18 thousand, Rs.15 thousand, Rs.13 thousand, 

Rs.10 thousand, Rs. 8 thousand cash prizes will be awarded. The winners in the six-tooth category will receive Rs. 40 thousand, Rs. 35 thousand, Rs. 30 thousand, Rs.  25 thousand, Rs. 22 thousand, Rs.18  thousand, Rs.15 thousand,  Rs.13 thousand, Rs.10 thousand cash prizes will be given. The winners in the agriculture category will get Rs. 50 thousand, Rs. 45 thousand, Rs. 40 thousand, 

 Rs. 35 thousand, Rs. 30 thousand, Rs. 25 thousand,  Rs. 20 thousand, Rs.15 thousand, Rs.10 thousand cash will be handed over.  The winners in the sub-juniors category will get Rs. 60 thousand, Rs. 50 thousand, Rs. 40 thousand, 

Rs. 35 thousand, Rs. 30 thousand, Rs. 25 thousand, 

Rs. 20 thousand, Rs.15 thousand, Rs.10 thousand cash will be handed over.  The winners in the Juniors category will receive Rs. 70 thousand, Rs. 50 thousand, Rs. 40 thousand, Rs. 35 thousand, Rs. 30 thousand, 

Rs. 25 thousand, Rs. 20 thousand, Rs.15 thousand, 

Rs.10 thousand will be given in cash. The winners in the Seniors category will receive Rs. Lakh, Rs. 80 thousand, Rs. 70 thousand, Rs. 60 thousand, Rs. 50 thousand, 

Rs. 40 thousand, Rs. 30 thousand, Rs. 20 thousand, 

Rs. 10 thousand cash prizes will be awarded. Meanwhile, to provide food and accommodation for the couples who are flocking to participate in these competitions.  Tents were set up on the K. Convention premises.  Cattle keepers and farmers were also provided with meals.  Rocks were also prepared to hold competitions in various disciplines.  The national competition venue, the track looks like a mix of YCP colors and waving flags.  Large scale galleries have also been set up for lakhs of farmers, animal husbandry and people from all over the Telugu states to watch the competition live.  The organizers are also presenting mementos to all the owners of the bull pairs participating in these competitions.
