Human Rights Commission submits report to Governor
Vijayawada, April 29 (prajaamaravathi): Justice Sri Mandhata Seetharama Murti (retd.), Chairperson of Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission along with members of the Commission called on Andhra Pradesh Governor Sri Biswabhusan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan on Friday and presented a copy the Annual Report of the Commission for the year 2021-22 to the Governor.
Governor Sri Harichandan appreciated the functioning of the Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission and said that it is necessary to create awareness among the people about the Human Rights as provided under the Constitution and public awareness of Human Rights will strengthen the institution of Human Rights Commission.
Judicial Member Sri Dande Subrahmanyam, Non-Judicial Member Dr. Srinivasa Rao Gochipata, Special Chief Secretary to Governor Sri R.P. Sisodia, APHRC Secretary Sri S.V. Ramana Murthy, were also present on the occasion.
On this occasion, the book titled “Combating Corruption in India – Role of Anti-corruption Agencies” written by Sri Srinivasa Rao, a Member of the Commission, was released by the Governor.
