Gudivada, September 30 (prajaamaravathi): Telugu Desam Party State Executive Secretary and Workers' Welfare Fund Coordinator Sistla Lohit has demanded that Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani respond to the change of name of NTR Health University by now. Sistla Lohit issued a statement at the Krishna district gudivada on Friday.
Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani said that NTR is his god no matter which political party he is in. Sistla Lohit said that NTR to YSR Charitable Trust has also been established in Gudivada and Sankranti celebrations are celebrated every year in the month of January. In this background, the government has removed the name of NTR from the health university. Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani, who is in the government, said that he does not understand why he has not responded till now. Kodali Nani, who says that he has close relations with NTR's family, wants to convince CM Jagan to see that NTR's name continues for the health university. He reminded that NTR is not a name but the self-pride of five crore Andhras. He said that he has made his mark in the fields of cinema and politics and has earned millions of fans. He said that many people came into politics taking NTR as an example. A golden path has been laid for the youth in politics. They are trying to distance such NTR from people. He said that the YCP government changed the name of NTR as a conspiracy. He asked if this is the honor given by the government to NTR who brought victory to the Telugu nation. He said the government has no moral right to change NTR's name. He said that Health University was established in Vijayawada with the ideas of 36-year-old NTR. He said that due to the efforts made by NTR, the subsequent governments have given his name to the Health University. Removing NTR's name and adding YSR's name is meaningless. He said that many Chief Ministers ruled the state before CM Jagan. He said no one thought of changing NTR's name on a factional basis. He said that the name of NTR can be removed from the health university, but it cannot be erased from the hearts of the people. Sistla Lohit demanded the government to continue the name of NTR for the health university.
