Parvathipuram, September 16 (prajaamaravathi) : There was overwhelming response to Job Mela conducted at Parvathipuram. It was the first of its kind after formation of new district. The District Administration is in view to provide employment to the unemployed youth, particularly tribals. As there are no industries in the district to have employment potentiality and job seekers are growing more, planned to conduct job mela. AP Skill Development Corporation was given responsibility and achieved its first task to arrange the mela. About 13 companies - Synergies Costing Limited, Apollo Pharmacy, HDFC Bank, Synaptic Labs, SBI Cards (teamlease), Bank of Baroda (Innova source), Avantel limited, Ocimum Labs, Sri Ranga Motors Pvt Limited, Hetero, STS Wealth Management, Rasapoorna Foods pvt Limited, Ball Beverage Packing pvt Limited, have come forward to participate in the mela to choose suitable candidates. The companies offered from Rs.10 to 25 thousand as salaries depending upon the post. As the opportunity was given to 775 posts to the candidates who passed tenth to B.Tech, about 2,300 plus candidates thronged the venue for interviews. District Administration had arranged the Job Mela at Sri Venkateswara Govt.Degree College to accommodate more number of candidates. 

Candidates attended the job mela showed their satisfaction over arranging job mela by the district administration. 

District Collector Mr Nishant Kumar had inaugurated the Job Mela on Friday. Addressing the youth, he said that "there are no short cuts to achieve success. It comes only through hard work". He applead to the youth to improve skills. Selected candidates had to work with sincerity and honest, he exhorted. Parvathipuram, Seethampeta and Gummalakshmi puram were going to get skill development centers in the district, he said. Trying to arrange some more job melas in the district, Collector said. He handed over placement letters to the selected candidates.
