Parvathipuram, May 12 (prajaamaravathi): Four elephants got electrocuted when they touched a electric transformer in Katragadda village limits of Bhamini mandal, said District Forest Officer G.A.P Prasuna. These elephants entered into Parvathipuram from Odisha border during 1st week of February 2023, she said. The Chief Conservator of Forests, Visakhapatnam inspected the area of incident and later veterinary doctor and team from zoo park Visakhapatnam and local veterinarians also reached to the spot and conducted post-mortem to all the 4 elephants, she added. Then the Panchanama was conducted along with the revenue department and other officials on the spot itself, she explained. The concerned officers of electric department and veterinary dept also reached to the spot, she informed. All the Forest Officials and their staff from Parvathipuram, srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts had reached the spot to control the situation from the mob, she said.
