A voter awareness programme was held at 

Ideal College of Arts and Sciences in Kakinada by Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The programme emphasized the pivotal role of voting in democracy and highlighted the importance of voter engagement.

PIB & CBC,  Shri. Rajinder Chaudhry stated that voting is crucial for democracy and national development. He urged young adults to vote responsibly, elect candidates of integrity, and drive progress.


Encouraging educated individuals to value their vote, Chaudhry led a pledge for the students, urging youths to participate in upcoming elections to shape the nation's future. He motivated the youth of the country to relish the participation in the world's biggest Democratic exercise presently on the way as part of general elections 2024.


  

 'SWEEP' Nodal officer for Kakinada District Shri. Vijay bhaskar highlighted citizens' role in selecting leaders through voting. He urged students to spread awareness about voting rights in their communities.


 Field Publicity Officer, CBC, Kakinada, Shri. Sree Rama Murthy Kandala stressed the transformative power of a single vote and showcased informative films by the Election Commission of India to educate the public on voting importance.


The event also included award presentations to top-performing students in various competitions and musical performances by artists from CBC to raise awareness about voting.


Dignitaries, including the Ideal Degree College Principal, Vice Principal emphasized the significance of voting. The event saw active participation from NSS program officers, faculty, students, and stakeholders, all committed to promoting voter awareness and civic engagement.
