Amaravati (prajaamaravati): K. Dinesh Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Drone Corporation, encouraged students to come forward with innovative drone use cases incorporating cutting-edge technology. He mentioned that the corporation will provide full support and cooperation to such students. Recently, during the Amaravati Drone Summit organized by the state government, a hackathon was conducted focusing on drone use cases for aspiring students. It is known that students who presented the best use cases were awarded prizes during the summit. The students presented their use cases virtually, and now, these will be showcased in real-time for further development by the Drone Corporation. As part of this initiative, ten students presented new and innovative use cases at the SRM University campus with the university's cooperation. Drone Corporation CMD K. Dinesh Kumar, who was the chief guest for the event, personally reviewed the student-designed drone use cases. He interacted with the students, asking about the methods they used to design them and other related details. During his address, he appreciated the development and presentation of the use cases that were previously presented virtually at the Amaravati Drone Summit. He assured that his organization would provide assistance to such students. He also mentioned that the corporation would review the use cases created by enthusiastic students once every 15 days. If the use cases developed by students are practically feasible, user-friendly, and applicable at the field level, they will be implemented by government departments, and the students will be provided with further assistance.

*Drone City in Orvakal*

He mentioned that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is giving special importance to promoting the drone sector. As part of this, the state government has developed a Drone Policy aimed at the growth of the drone sector. Work is progressing rapidly in Orvakal, Kurnool district, to establish a 300 acre Drone City. The government's vision is to make Andhra Pradesh the Drone Capital of the country. He invited aspiring students to reach out if they have any innovative drone inventions. The event was attended by Dr. Raviteja, Dr. Pranav, and other faculty members of SRM University's Civil Department.

*Maritime Drone*

The new and innovative use cases created by the students for various unique services using drones were impressive. Among them, the Maritime Drone developed by SRM University students stood out. The drone was designed to help patrol coastal areas more efficiently and detect unauthorized intrusions by vessels. It also has the capability to detect individuals who might be drowning in the sea and assist in rescuing them. This maritime surveillance drone, created by SRM University student Manikanth, was particularly captivating.

*Wildlife Tracking Drone*

A Wildlife Surveillance Drone created by students from Acharya Nagarjuna University, K. Naren Kaushik and Janvi, and Dr.Tousheef Ahmad was thought-provoking. This drone is capable of tracking the movement of wild animals coming from forests into human settlements. The drone uses advanced thermal cameras to monitor animal movements even at night. This will be highly beneficial to forestry department officials who can track the direction of the animals and relocate them back to the forest.

In addition, students from the same university also created an unmanned surveillance drone that will assist aqua farmers. Another Students developed an unique  drone can assess whether water in fields is suitable for irrigation or human consumption. Other drones were developed to identify unauthorized persons entering a company, house, or organization, and immediately notify the concerned authorities.
