101 MOUs Signed at International Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet in Tirupati, Opening Global Opportunities for AP MSMEs
Tirupati, June 28, 2025 (prajaamaravati):
The International Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM), organized by the Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation (APMSME DC) in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), concluded successfully in Tirupati today. The three-day event, held from June 26 to 28, witnessed the convergence of over 350 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from Tirupati and surrounding districts with 30 international buyers from across the United States, Europe, Australia, GCC countries, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
Focused on key sectors such as agro and food processing, textiles and garments, engineering goods, handicrafts, pharmaceuticals, health care products, home furnishings, granite, and spices, the event served as a vital platform to promote trade partnerships and international collaboration.
A major milestone of the meet was the signing of 101 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and business agreements. Notably, 40 of these were signed by first-time exporters, and 38 by women-led enterprises signifying inclusive participation and empowerment. These MoUs are expected to significantly enhance global market access for MSMEs, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), artisans, and weaver societies from the region.
The RBSM was particularly impactful for MSMEs from Tirupati, Nellore, Kadapa, and Chittoor, offering them valuable insights into buyer expectations, quality standards, and export trends thus enabling them to refine their products, production processes, and marketing strategies.
The second day of the event, June 27, also marked the celebration of International MSME Day 2025. The occasion was graced by Hon’ble Minister for MSME, Shri Kondapalli Srinivas, along with Shri Tammi Reddy Siva Sankara Rao, Chairman, AP MSME DC; Shri Vishwa M, CEO, AP MSME DC; and Dr. S.P. During the celebrations, the Hon’ble Minister announced transformative plans for the MSME sector in Andhra Pradesh, including the integration of advanced technologies such as AI, ONDC, and ERP systems. He also announced a strategic MoU with NSE to enable MSMEs to tap into capital markets. Reflecting the government’s commitment, the Minister highlighted the creation of a dedicated ministry by merging MSME, SERP, and NRI portfolios to drive better coordination between rural livelihoods, self-employment, and industrial investment.
The Minister also declared that the state aims to establish one MSME park in each of the 175 assembly constituencies, equipped with necessary infrastructure such as power, water, and transportation facilities. Select parks will cater to sector-specific clusters, including those for space and defence industries.
Earlier, during the inauguration ceremony, Shri Tammi Reddy Siva Sankara Rao, Chairman of AP MSME DC, affirmed that Andhra Pradesh’s strong policy framework and government-backed initiatives are poised to position the state as a leading export hub in India.
