Rajasekhar suggested the Vassar Labs representatives, who developed the app, to focus on this.
On 24th July 2025 (Thursday) at the Office of the Director of Agriculture, Mangalagiri, Budithi Rajasekhar IAS formally launched the A.P. AIMS – Andhra Pradesh Agricultural Information and Management System 2.0 App.
Director of Agriculture Dilli Rao stated that, starting from the current Kharif season, the app has been rolled out for use by field-level agricultural officers for data collection and implementation. From the upcoming Rabi season, after collecting comprehensive farmer data, the app will also be made accessible to the farmers.
As per the vision of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, this app is designed to provide farmers with integrated information—starting from seeds, weather updates, market prices, and other vital aspects—in an easily accessible manner.
He further emphasized that the historical data collected for this app should be sourced from reliable valid agriculture-related sectors and should form the foundation for all features in the system 2.0 version. For farmers to trust the reports and suggestions provided through the app, the data collected must reflect complete authenticity and accuracy so that the credibility of this App will enhanced .
The event was attended by Additional Director of Agriculture Vijayalakshmi,Sridhar Superintending Engineer DAC Balasubrahmanyam, DDs Balu Nayak and Swarna Vijaya, as well as representatives from Vassar Labs – Sharma, Nikhilesh, and other department officials.
