*Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu Unveils Ambitious Roadmap for State’s Economic Transformation*

New Delhi, July 16. (prajaamaravati ); Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu released the landmark report ‘Towards Swarna Andhra Pradesh@2047’, a comprehensive blueprint for the state’s economic development, in New Delhi today. Prepared by the high-level task force for economic development in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the report outlines a transformative vision to position Andhra Pradesh as India’s leading state by 2047.

*Ambitious Vision For Andhra Pradesh*

Reflecting on his earlier Vision 2020 initiative, the Chief Minister noted that Andhra Pradesh had successfully achieved its targets and is now setting even more ambitious goals. He emphasized that the Swarna Andhra Pradesh Vision aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat 2047 mission. “By 2047, Andhra Pradesh will be the best state in India, meeting international standards, and we are determined to make it happen,” he declared.

*First-Mover Advantage and Policy Reforms*

Recalling his pioneering efforts in the 1990s to harness the IT revolution, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of innovation and policy reforms. “We took the first-mover advantage in IT with leaders like Bill Gates, despite criticism. Today, one in four IT professionals globally is Indian, and among them, one or two are from the Telugu community,” he said. He appreciated former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for supporting his push for the telecom revolution, which laid the foundation for India’s IT boom.

The Chief Minister outlined India’s three key advantages: early economic reforms, demographic dividend, and first mover advantage in IT. “Today, we are the world’s fourth-largest economy, and by 2047, we will be the third-largest,” he said, crediting PM Modi for steering India’s growth. He urged stakeholders to think big and act decisively to realize this vision.

*Andhra Pradesh’s Strengths and Opportunities*

The Chief Minister further said, “AP has strong and dynamic human resources, fertile land, and is rich in agricultural commodities, especially horticulture, aquaculture, and commercial crops. On the East Coast, we have a long coastline, where every 50 km, we want to have a port. We are constructing airports on a large scale and developing one of the best road networks. Logistics-wise, AP will be the hub for India in the future. We are also upgrading our human capital through skill development and bringing top global and national institutions to Amaravati.”

“Our state has excellent mineral wealth, and major industries are setting up in AP. We have the talent and resources to realize our vision. By 2047, our economy will grow from 180 billion USD to 2.4 trillion USD. Per capita income will increase from 3,400 USD to 42,000 USD. Exports will surpass 450 billion USD. Our population is projected to reach 5.8 crore by 2047, with a median age of 40 years, life expectancy of 85 years, and 60% urbanization. We have identified 10 principles to achieve these goals, driven by our motto of achieving zero poverty through the P4 model,” he added.

The CM said that the affluent sections of society should invest in people as capital and support the weaker sections in rising. He urged that this initiative be embraced as a collective social responsibility. He also noted that five cities of AP ranked high in the Swachh Bharat Mission rankings. he further noted that Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada have secured the first and third spots in LinkedIn’s first-ever Cities on the Rise report, which highlights India’s fastest-growing non-metro cities for professional growth.

*Technology is a Game-Changer in Good Governance*

“By January 2026, the government of Andhra Pradesh will be starting quantum computing in the state in collaboration with IBM, TCS, and L&T. America has Silicon Valley; we are developing Quantum Valley in Amaravati. Deep tech will be used to improve all aspects of good governance in the state. With the help of data and AI, the government can make the right decisions,” the CM said.

“By August 15, all public services in AP will be available online in real-time, through WhatsApp. People will not have to go to any office,” he added.

From WhatsApp governance to AI-driven healthcare, the Chief Minister emphasized technology’s role in improving lives. He cited the success of digital health records in Kuppam, developed in partnership with Tata, and stressed the importance of data-driven governance. “With AI, we can make accurate predictions and enhance decision-making,” he said.

*Investment and Employment Boom*

Andhra Pradesh now ranks fourth in the EIU’s list of top investment destinations. The state has already attracted investments worth ₹10 lakh crore, generating 8.5 lakh jobs. Three academic hubs—Visakhapatnam, Amaravati, and Tirupati—are being developed to foster innovation. “Amaravati will be the world’s best city to live in, with futuristic amenities,” the Chief Minister said.

Praising The Late Ratan Tata, the Chief Minister informed that the Ratan Tata innovation hub will nurture entrepreneurship. “Our goal is one entrepreneur in every family,” he said.

The CM also emphasised that tourism is the future. Among rising concerns surrounding IT jobs taking a hit due to the advent of AI, tourism will create the majority of the jobs. He also talked about the recently celebrated International Yoga Day and the month-long Yogandhra in Andhra Pradesh. “I have given industry status to tourism. Earlier, we were talking about Ease of Doing Business; today, we are talking about Speed of Doing Business,” he concluded.

*Call to Action for Industries*

“The day you join us, your project becomes our project,” the Chief Minister told industrialists, assuring full government support. He thanked Task Force Chairman N. Chandrasekaran and CII for their contributions and pledged to implement the report’s recommendations.

*A Unified Vision for National Development*

Concluding his address, the Chief Minister underscored the synergy between policymakers and industry. “While politicians empower people through policy, businesses generate wealth—both are nation-building activities,” he said. Expressing confidence in India’s global leadership, he declared, “Trust us, we will deliver. Give us a problem, we’ll solve it.”

The event saw enthusiastic participation from industry leaders, marking a strong endorsement of Andhra Pradesh’s growth vision. Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman Tata Group and Co-Chairperson for AP Task Force, Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General of the Confederation of Indian Industry, and members of the task force, were present among others.
