 Gudivada, July 24 (prajaamaravathi): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) has said that rice will be distributed free of cost under the PMGKY through ration dealers in the state from the 15th of this month.  Minister Kodali Nani spoke to reporters at Krishna District Gudivada on Saturday.  There are a total of one crore 48 lakh 17 thousand 365 rice cards in the state, of which 5 kg of rice is being provided free of cost to each family member.  Meanwhile, Kurnool district has a total of 12 lakh 23 thousand 898 rice cards and so far 3 lakh 17 thousand 755 cards have been supplied free of cost.  Prakasam district has a total of 10 lakh 03 thousand 280 rice cards up to 2 lakh 47 thousand 276 cards, West Godavari district has a total of 12 lakh 47 thousand 805 rice cards up to now 3 lakh 11 thousand 585 cards, YSR Kadapa district has a total of 8 lakh 19 thousand 700 cards.  While there are 1 lakh 35 thousand 715 cards till now, Chittoor district has a total of 11 lakh 63 thousand 677 rice cards till now 2 lakh 21 thousand 526 cards, Visakhapatnam district has a total of 12 lakh 78 thousand 952 rice cards till now 3 lakh 47 thousand 809 cards, Vijayanagaram district has a total of 6 lakh 99 thousand 230 rice cards up to one lakh 91 thousand 649 cards, Anantapur district has a total of 12 lakh 27 thousand 338 rice cards up to one lakh 95 thousand 441 cards, Guntur district has a total of 14 lakh 87 thousand 930 rice cards.  While there are 2 lakh 88 thousand 154 cards till now, there are 16 lakh 50 thousand 540 rice cards in East Godavari district and till now there are 3 lakh 59 thousand 713 cards.  Krishna district has a total of 13 lakh 05 thousand 118 rice cards up to 2 lakh 69 thousand 390 cards, Srikakulam district has a total of 8 lakh 17 thousand 055 rice cards up to one lakh 19 thousand 334 cards and Nellore district has a total of 8 lakh 92 thousand 842 rice cards, so far 2 lakh 27 thousand 738 cards have been given free rice.  Meanwhile, distribution of essentials to rice cardholders across the state is on the rise.  25.96 per cent in Kurnool district, 24.65 per cent in Prakasam district, 16.56 per cent in YSR Kadapa district, 15.99 per cent in Anantapur district, 24.97 per cent in West Godavari district, 19.04 per cent in Guntur district, 19.37 per cent in Vijayanagaram district, 27.19 per cent in Visakhapatnam district and 21.79 per cent in East Godavari district.  Minister Kodali Nani said the distribution process was 20.64 per cent in Krishna district, 14.61 per cent in Srikakulam district and 25.51 per cent in Nellore district.
