Gudivada, Aug 24 (prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) has said that CM Jaganmohan Reddy is taking steps to ensure pensions for everyone who is eligible in the state.  On Tuesday, he met Mallampalli Gangamma of Kalvapudi Agraharam village in Gudivada rural mandal of Krishna district.  On this occasion she said that the government was giving a pension to her husband every month.  Gangamma, who is currently bedridden, said arrangements should be made to give him a higher pension in view of medical expenses.  On this, Minister Kodali Nani said that he would talk to the concerned authorities about the matter.  Statewide, pensioners are being paid their pensions at home from the morning of the 1st of every month.  About 2.66 lakh volunteers are managing the distribution of pensions efficiently.  There are 60.50 lakh pension beneficiaries in the state.  The government is allocating Rs 1,455.87 crore every month to them.  Widow and single woman are looking nowhere in the issuance of pensions without mistakes.  He said a full inquiry would be ordered as soon as allegations were made that pensions were being given to non-residents anywhere.  Minister Kodali Nani said that they are looking into the reports coming from the concerned authorities and ensuring that pensions are given to all the eligible.
