Gudivada, Aug 2 (prajaamaravati): State Minister for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) has said that CM Jaganmohan Reddy has changed the face of government schools through the Mana Badi Nadu- Nedu scheme in the state. Minister Kodali Nani reviewed the development work done in schools in several villages as part of the Nadu- Nedu program in Krishna District Gudivada constituency on Monday. On this occasion, Minister Kodali Nani said that Rs.14. 85 crore has been allocated by the government. He said the funds would be used to provide infrastructure and development work in schools in the constituency. Meanwhile, CM Jaganmohan Reddy launched the scheme on Manabadi Nadu- Nedu on November 14, 2019 with the aim of providing better education to poor students studying in government schools. Under this scheme, modernization of schools has been undertaken in three phases at a cost of Rs. 16 thousand 700 crore. He said the modernization work was initiated under the auspices of the school parent committees with full transparency, commitment and quality. He said modernization of 45,000 government schools, 475 government junior colleges, 151 government degree colleges and 3,287 government hostels would be done in phases over three years. He also said that 27 thousand 438 Anganwadi new buildings will be constructed. Mana Badi Nadu - Nedu, the project is creating 10 items of infrastructure. There will be toilets with water supply, protected drinking water supply, school repairs, fans for each classroom, installation of tube lights, furniture, green chalk board, painting, English lab, retaining wall, kitchen construction. Nadu - Nedu, The main purpose of the program is to compare the pre-implementation status of the program with the development of schools, including photos. He said the government's aim was to improve test results in govt schools, reduce the number of out-of-school students and enroll them in schools. The revolutionary programs undertaken by CM Jaganmohan Reddy have resulted in an increase of nearly 4 lakh admissions in government schools. On the 16th of this month, CM Jaganmohan Reddy said that the work completed in the first phase will be dedicated to the students of the state and the second phase will begin. Minister Kodali Nani said the third phase of work would begin in August 2022.
