Gudivada, Aug 19 (prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao (Nani) has said that Moharram is to commemorate the martyrs who laid down their lives for the revival of Islam. Minister Kodali Nani spoke to media at Krishna District Gudivada on Thursday. Islam means peace, and the sacrifices made by the family of the Prophet Muhammad are being commemorated on the occasion of Moharram. It is said that goodness and sacrifice are the principles of Islam. Moharram has been described as an inspiration for humanitarianism. Covid-19 suggested that Moharram ceremonies should be limited to residences in view of the circumstances. He said the state government had issued corona guidelines during the Moharram. Alam can handle no more than ten people. He said only 30 to 40 people were allowed in the procession. The government has made it clear that no distribution is allowed except for fresh water bottles. The government has mandated that wearing masks must comply with physical distance. Minister Kodali Nani also appealed to those who have been given the corona vaccine to adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines.
