 Gudivada, Aug 20 (prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) has directed Municipal Commissioner PJ Sampath Kumar to undertake development works in Gudivada Municipality as a matter of priority with 15th Finance Commission funds.  On Friday, Minister Kodali Nani was met by Municipal Commissioner Sampath Kumar at his residence in Rajendranagar, Gudivada town in Krishna district.  Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said that the 15th Finance Commission has undertaken several development projects with funds.  The funds will be used to build drains and fresh water pipelines in various parts of the town.  Also, ward secretariats for seven wards in Gudivada town have been set up on the premises of the Municipal High School.  All these have been shifted to other areas in the respective wards as per the directions of the High Court.  Later, Minister Kodali Nani said that the ward secretariats should be temporarily shifted to see the people in the respective wards without any inconvenience.  CM Jaganmohan Reddy said that he started the secretariat system with a lot of thought.  He said steps should be taken to ensure that all government services are provided at the homes of the people through the secretariats.  It was suggested that secretariats should be set up in rented buildings in wards where government lands and buildings are not available.  In Gudivada municipality, the 15th finance commission funds is expected to spend Rs 1.50 crore.  Minister Kodali Nani said that these will be identified in order of priority and used for their solution.
