Gudivada, Aug 4 (prajaamaravati): State Minister for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) has said that YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who took over as Chief Minister, has brought in several reforms in the administration in the last two years. District Collector J. Nivas presided over the farmer response program at the Agriculture Department AD office in Gudivada town of Krishna district on Wednesday. Earlier, farmers showered flowers on Minister Kodali Nani. Agriculture Advisory Council Chairman Mekala Satyanarayana presented a bouquet to Minister Kodali Nani and felicitated him with Dussaluwa. On the occasion, Minister Kodali Nani said that a Rytu Spandana program was being organized in Krishna District with the intention that if the farmers bring their problems to the notice of the authorities, they would be able to resolve them expeditiously. Jaganmohan Reddy, who took over as chief minister, said the last two years have brought many reforms in the administration. He said that a Rytu Bharosa scheme is being implemented especially to support the farmers. Farmers are being offered a discount on any type of crop, he said. He said the government was buying farmers' produce when there was no market to buy it. The government is selling the products bought from farmers through auctions. He said that last year there was a loss of about Rs 1,100 crore and if the government did not bear the loss, the farmers would have to suffer. We are providing investment assistance to farmers through crop assurance. Rytu Bharosa Centers have been set up in every village to provide all kinds of services from seed to sale of the crop. Arrangements are being made to provide the required seeds, fertilizers and pesticides required by the farmers within 24 hours of registering online at the Farmer Assurance Centers. He said it was commendable for each mandal to conduct a farmer response program for two days every month to address the problems of the farmers. He said farmers do not need to turn around government offices to solve their problems. He said the government would take up the issue with the government and work towards a solution if it was not possible to resolve the issue within a timely manner. Minister Kodali Nani suggested that the farmers should take advantage of the Rytu Spandana program. YCP state leader Dukkipati Sashibhushan, Agricultural Market Yard chairman Mondru Sunita, YCP leaders Paladugu Ramprasad, Peyyala Adam, Matta John Victor, Mallipudi Srinivasa Chakravarti, Mondru Venkateswara Rao, Agriculture Advisory Council Gudivada Rural Mandal President Mekala Satyanarayana and Nandivada Mandal President Kondapalli Kumar Reddy were present on the occasion. Several officials of the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, etc. participated.
