- Minister of State for Civil Supplies Kodali Nani
Gudivada, September 2 (prajaamaravati): Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani), Minister of State for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, said that a new building is being constructed at Gudivada Area Govt Hospital with a budget of Rs 10.70 crore. The construction work of the new building was inspected at the Government Hospital on Thursday. Earlier, Minister Kodali Nani was presented with bouquets by Govt Hospital Development Association Chairman MV Narayanareddy and Superintendent Dr Indira Devi. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Kodali Nani said that a 100-bed hospital was built in Gudivada in 1983 when NTR was the Chief Minister. The three-storey building is crumbling and slab scabs are falling on doctors and patients. The government was asked to remove the building and construct a new one. Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy himself has focused on the condition of all hospitals in the state. As part of this, Rs. 10.70 crore has been sanctioned. He said the government had released the organism and only then did he or the doctors here know about it. 27 YSR health clinics have been set up in Gudivada constituency. The health clinic also has quarters built exclusively for ANMs. ANMs are available 24 hours a day in the villages and arrangements have been made to provide medical treatment. It is being said that NTR was born in Gudivada constituency, served as an MLA, became the Chief Minister and developed in many ways. The 100-bed area hospital is said to have been built during the NTR regime. The overhead tank at Gudivada is said to have been built during the British rule. Another 106-acre summer storage tank was built in 2006 and was inaugurated by then CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He said the NTR had sanctioned the bypass road in Gudivada and the roads and culverts had not been constructed as it had been in operation for only two years. The bus stand, built 60 years ago, has not seen any development no matter how many governments have come. He said that even if it rains a little, the water will reach waist depth. Chandrababu has maintained the RTC bus stand in the pond for 14 years as the Chief Minister. Jagan said Rs 23 crore was allocated after he came to power. Minister Kodali Nani said that the foundation stone has been laid and the RTC bus stand with sophisticated features will be available soon. The function was attended by DCHS Dr Jyotirmayi, Adama Executive Director Suryadeva Balaji Prasad, YCP state leader Dukkipati Sasibhushan, district steering committee member Mandali Hanumantrao, former councilor Madasu Venkatalakshmi, hospital development committee members, several doctors and party leaders.
