 Gudivada, Sep 4 (prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) has directed the state government to look into the possibility of compensation to the Kakulapadu panchayat pond lessee in Bapulapadu mandal under Krishna District Gannavaram constituency.  Chintapalli Vijaya Bhanumurthy of Gudivada met Minister Kodali Nani at his residence in Gudivada town Rajendranagar on Saturday.  On this occasion, Bhanumurthy said that an auction was held for a period of three years to cultivate fish in the Kakulapadu panchayat pond.  His brother Chintapalli Udaya Sambashivarao has been farming fish since 2019.  In December 2020, 15,000 juvenile fish were laid in the pond as a second crop.  They weighed up to a kilo.  Unidentified persons poisoned the pond while the fish were ready to be caught.  He said all the fish in the pond were dead.  They said the damage was about Rs 15 lakh.  Fisheries officials measured the area of ​​the pond at 2.33 acres and said the same pond was five acres and sang the auction with him for a higher amount.  He also said that the first crop leased was damaged due to various problems.  Bhanumurthy asked the court to take these matters into consideration and provide compensation.  Minister Kodali Nani was shown photos of the poisoning.  He also lodged a complaint at the Hanuman Junction police station.  Immediately Minister Kodali Nani spoke on the phone with DPO.  The matter was also brought to the attention of the Commissioner of Fisheries. Also directed Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi to provide full details.  Minister Kodali Nani said he had directed the authorities to look into the poisoning in the Kakulapadu panchayat pond and see to it that the lessee is compensated if possible.  The event was attended by Jagan Sevadal State Honorary President, Gudivada YSR Congress Party Social Media In-Charge Tota Rajesh and others.
