 Gudivada, Sep 17 (prajaamaravati): In the ZPTC and MPTC elections held in Krishna District Gudivada constituency, several decisions taken by the state Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) giving high priority to social justice have further boosted the confidence of SC, ST, BC, minority and poor sections in CM Jaganmohan Reddy.  Elections were held on April 8 for 7,220 MPTC seats and 515 ZPTC seats in the state.  As part of this, rural, Nandivada and Gudlavalleru ZPTC posts in Gudivada constituency have been allotted to BC communities.  SC, ST, BC and minorities are also given high priority in the MPTC segments.  Of the six segments in the Gudivada rural mandal, the Dondapadu segment was agreed to by the YSR Congress party.  Elections were held for Chirichinthala, Chowtapalli, Moturu, Ramanapudi and Sarigolvepalli segments last April.  Golla Ramakrishna is contesting from YSR Congress Party as ZPTC candidate.  The post of MPP was assigned to the OC people.  While there are 11 segments in Nandivada mandal, Rudrapaka, Polukonda, Dandiganapudi and Tamirisa segments are unified.  Elections were held for Nandivada, Jonnapadu, Puttagunta, Aripirala, Tummalapalli, Kudaravalli and Ilaparru segments.  The post of MPP was assigned to the OC General.  Kandula Padmavati from YSR Congress Party is contesting as ZPTC candidate.  Elections were held for 15 segments in Gudlavalleru mandal.  Candidates are contesting in Dokiparru 1, 2, Kavutaram 1, 2, Gudlavalleru 1, 2, Vadlamannadu, Venuturumilli, Vemavaram, Koorada, Seridaggumilli, Vinnakota, Angaluru, Kalvapudi, Penjendra segment.  While in the Uppala Harika contest as a ZPTC candidate, the post of MPP here was allotted to the SC General.  With the High Court giving the green signal on the counting of ZPTC and MPTC elections, all arrangements are being made for the counting at VKR and VNB Engineering College for Gudivada constituency on the 19th of this month at 8 am.  On the occasion, Minister Kodali Nani said that CM Jaganmohan Reddy had given the highest priority to social justice and had never seen such a biased Chief Minister in the history of the state.  He said the state government was a testament to integrity and commitment.  With the aim of social justice shown by CM Jaganmohan Reddy, we are giving highest priority to SC, ST, BC and minority communities in Gudivada constituency.  Of the 481 directors recently appointed to 47 corporations, 58 per cent are SCs, STs, BCs and 52 per cent are women.  56 BC corporations, 137 nominated posts, SC, ST, BC, minorities have secured more than half of the posts of corporation, municipalities and city panchayat chairmen held in the state.  Minister Kodali Nani said that although the Gudlavalleru ZPTC seat in Gudivada constituency was allotted to an OC General woman, Uppala Harika from the BC category was selected as the candidate.
