Lokesh decries 'suppression' of social media activists
Activists being arrested like terrorists
CID violating SC guidelines on social media posts
One State One Capital will strike final blow
AMARAVATI (prajaamaravati): TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday condemned the 'non-stop illegal arrests' of social media activists by the YSRCP Government with total disrespect for the fundamental rights and freedom of expression conferred by the constitution of India.
Lokesh said that activist Yellapu Santosh was unlawfully arrested when he went to admit his pregnant wife for delivery at the hospital. The police have arrested him as if he was a terrorist. The ongoing suppression by the Government and the police was atrocious and condemnable.
In a statement here, Lokesh deplored that the arrest was made without giving even a prior notice to the social media activist. The CID officials were freely violating the guidelines of the Supreme Court only to see joy in the eyes of the ruling YSRCP bosses. The attitude of the Jagan Reddy regime was not changing despite receiving countless setbacks in the courts of law.
Nara Lokesh warned that the CID officials concerned would be responsible for whatever would happen to Santosh and his wife. Jagan Reddy and his yes men have adopted double standards with regard to the social media posts being made by different sections of people. The Government was humiliating and harassing the social media activists who criticized the unconstitutional policies.
Lokesh termed it as 'inhuman' that the Jagan Reddy regime was targetting all sections of people in the name of social media posts. Even the senior citizens were not being spared. The ruling party was trying to cause physical, psychological and financial damage to the victims. The factionist mindset was clearly visible even in harassing the social media activists though they were only exercising their democratic right.
Nara Lokesh said that the day would be not far away when Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy would say that CM Jagan Reddy had no subject and zero awareness which was why he announced his mindless 3 Capitals plan. The Government was putting obstacles even though the Amaravati Mahapadayatris and JAC were holding the Tirupati Maha Sabha with the permission granted by the court.
Lokesh termed the arrests of the Maha Sabha-bound opposition leaders as a clear sign of the dictatorial regime going on in the State. The Maha Sabha being held by Amaravati farmers with the slogan 'Amaravati for all' had won support from all over the State. Amaravati would remain the one and only Capital for the State. The slogan of 'One State One Capital' would strike the final blow to the arrogant Jagan Reddy rule.
