- Minister of State for Civil Supplies Kodali Nani
Thadepalli, Dec 28 (prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) has said that all measures will be taken to prevent any harm to Vangaveeti Radhakrishna. Minister Kodali Nani spoke to reporters at the CM's camp office media point in Thadepalli on Monday night. He said that he along with my younger brother Vangaveeti Radhakrishna participated in the idol unveiling ceremony of Vangaveeti Mohanaranga at Chinagonnuru village in Gudlavalleru mandal of Gudivada constituency. On this occasion Radhakrishna said that some people were doing programs that could harm him and that Recci had also carried out. He said the matter was brought to the notice of CM Jaganmohan Reddy. He said CM Jagan had directed the Intelligence DG to conduct a full inquiry into the matter. He said the government had issued orders allocating two plus two gunmen to Radhakrishna. If there is a feeling that any person in the state is being harmed they can be informed immediately. Vangaveeti Mohanaranga was brutally murdered while the TDP was in power. He said such situations would not be repeated in the YSR Congress government. Although Vangaveeti Radhakrishna spoke with adequate evidence or suspicion, CM Jaganmohan Reddy immediately responded and set up the gunmen. If Vangaveeti decides to carry out a requiem and attack Radhakrishna, all of them should be withdrawn immediately. Otherwise, He warned that the YSR Congress government would not sit idly by and act harshly. After the unveiling of the Ranga idol in Gudivada constituency, Radhakrishna went to West Godavari district to unveil several idols. He had also spoken to Radhakrishna on the phone about the Recci affair. Radhakrishna also advised to take proper precautions and immediately inform the government and police if there is any suspicion. He said that in politics, Radhakrishna was not in a position to teach Onam and hold hands. As a fan of Vangaveeti Mohanaranga from the very beginning, he has been involved in the setting up of idols and in every event held in the name of Ranga. He said the discussion between Radhakrishna and himself was only about the Vangaveeti Mohanaranga idol unveiling ceremony in Gudivada constituency. He said he did not want to join the YSR Congress party and did not say that Radhakrishna would also come. He said that when different people who are going on in politics meet, there is a lot of speculation about them in magazines and in the media. If Vangaveeti Radhakrishna wants to join the YSR Congress party, he will say so and will immediately bring the matter to the attention of CM Jaganmohan Reddy. Minister Kodali Nani clarified that he was a friend of Radhakrishna and that he had met him at the Ranga idol unveiling in Gudivada constituency and that it had no political significance.
