Gudivada, Feb 17 (prajaamaravati): The flyover connecting Bhimavaram and Machilipatnam railway lines in Krishna District Gudivada town will be a golden chapter in the history of Gudivada constituency.
State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani)'s decades-old dream will come true with the construction of the flyover, which will be funded by the central government at a cost of Rs 317.22 crore. It will be modeled on the iconic bridge by Minister Kodali Nani. Steps were taken to complete the construction of the flyover in about a year and a half. As a result, Minister Kodali Nani replied that he was not a minister of words, even to his opponents. Kodali Nani, who has been elected as an MLA for Gudivada constituency four times in a row and is now a minister, has been widely expected by the people. Minister Kodali Nani is working to live up to those expectations. The rest of the Gudivada RTC bus stand and flyover were able to start construction after decades of dreaming.
The people of Gudivada town and surrounding areas have been waiting for many years for the construction of this flyover. The Gudivada- Bhimavaram and Gudivada- Machilipatnam railway tracks are located on the Pamarru Road in Gudivada town. Bhimavaram and Machilipatnam railway tracks are experiencing frequent traffic problems during train services. The people of RTC Colony, Bank Colony, Auto Nagar in Gudivada town as well as the people of Gudivada Rural and Gudlavalleru mandals are suffering severely. Also, vehicles coming from Gudivada town to Pamarru and Machilipatnam areas are stuck in traffic near Bhimavaram and Machilipatnam railway tracks. With this, the demand for construction of flyovers on both the railway tracks has been going on for a long time. With the election of Vallabhaneni Balashouri as Machilipatnam MP and four-time Gudivada MLA, Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) as the Minister of State for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, the flyover construction came to a standstill. MP Balashouri also assured Minister Kodali Nani that he would work for the construction of a flyover at Gudivada. As part of this, MP Balashouri repeatedly brought the issue of flyover construction in Gudivada to the attention of Parliament. If there is a bypass road in the area where the flyover is to be built, permits will not be issued as per government regulations. However, MP Balashouri brought to the notice of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari the ongoing traffic congestion and public problems near the Bhimavaram and Machilipatnam railway tracks in Gudivada town. Understanding the issue, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari approved the construction of a flyover near Level Crossing Gate No. 3 near Gudivada-Machilipatnam railway track and Level Crossing Gate No. 52 near Vijayawada-Bhimavaram railway track. A review meeting was held with the National Highways Department to prepare the design for the flyover and send it to the Central Government. On this occasion Minister Kodali Nani made several suggestions keeping in view the future needs. Initially, approvals came to Rs 220 crore. Taking into account the suggestions of Minister Kodali Nani, approvals of Rs 317.22 crore had to be taken. The central government will provide Rs 45 crore for the 1.2 hectares of land required for the construction of the flyover. Meanwhile, regarding the construction of the flyover, Minister Kodali Nani said that the flyover is being constructed from near the RTC bus stand in Gudivada town to Gudivada Rural Mandal Billapadu. The flyover will cover a distance of 2.9 km along the Gudivada- Bhimavaram and Gudivada- Machilipatnam railway tracks. In the middle of the road are the bypass road in Gudivada town, the road towards Machilipatnam and the Autonagar road. Some changes and additions were requested in the flyover design connecting vehicles coming from three sides. He said that these were brought to the notice of the Central Government by MP Vallabhaneni Balashouri. He said all precautions were taken to avoid future troubles. He said there would be no problems for vehicles coming from Machilipatnam side, bypass road and Autonagar side. Gudivada town will have one ramp at Machilipatnam road in the Pedakalva center and another ramp at Old Bypass Road. He thanked MP Balashouri for his hard work for the development of Gudivada constituency. Minister Kodali Nani has appealed to MP Balashouri to get the highest majority from Gudivada constituency in the coming elections.
