Lokesh decries 'YCP attacks' on dalits

Gudivada tahsildar attacked in Minister's presence

Dr Sudhakar persecuted till his death

Weaker sections facing increasing attacks

AMARAVATI (prajaamaravati): TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh on Wednesday condemned the 'attack' made by the YSRCP leaders on tahsildar M. Srinivasa Rao in Gudivada in Krishna district.

Lokesh deplored that Minister Kodali Nani and MP Balashowrie did not try to prevent the attack which was made in their presence. The ruling YSRCP leaders targetted the tahsildar just for rejecting their applications for theatre permission in Gudivada.

In a statement here, Lokesh expressed concern over how the dalits and weaker sections were becoming increasingly victimised under the oppressive YSRCP regime. From Dr. Sudhakar to tahsildar Srinivasa Rao, the weaker sections were facing endless humiliation and intimidation under the Jagan Reddy rule.

Nara Lokesh demanded that the police should immediately arrest Minister's follower Padma Reddy for attacking the tahsildar in the presence of the public and elected representatives. The weaker sections and backward classes would not keep silent if the Government continued to patronise such intimidatory attacks by the ruling party leaders anywhere in the State.

Lokesh recalled how CM Jagan Reddy came to power by promising the empowerment of the downtrodden sections and the marginalised groups. After winning the elections, the CM has begun victimising the very sections that have given him a massive mandate.

Nara Lokesh deplored that the ruling YSRCP was not only betraying the poor people by not fulfilling their election promises but also suppressing their rights at all levels. The Chief Minister and his MLAs would pay a heavy penalty if they continued their oppressive and exploitative activities.
