Lokesh demands arrest of YCP MLC
Blames YCP goons for Srikakulam man's suicide
Women in Jagan family also unsafe like other women
YCP tearing 'mangalsutras' of AP women
Police frontline soldiers for YCP rowdy sheeters
AMARAVATI (prajaamaravati): TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh accused the YSRCP Government of abetting suicide of a social media activist by filing a false case out of political vindictiveness.
Lokesh said the ruling YSRCP leaders had victimised TDP activist Kona Venkatarao eventually forcing to commit suicide at Pothangi village in Mandasa mandal of Srikakulam district. His only crime was to post a social media comment on the multiple failures, unchecked corruption and countless atrocities under the Jagan Reddy regime.
In a statement here, Lokesh deplored that the ruling party goondas had torn the 'mangalsutra' of the Srikakulam woman on the eve of International Women's Day. Her life was thrown into darkness when all others were busy with the day's celebrations. Doubts arose whether the AP police had become frontline soldiers for the YSRCP rowdy sheeters.
Nara Lokesh strongly condemned the incident and demanded the immediate arrest of YCP MLC Duvvada Srinivas and all others for 'harassing and abetting' Kona Venkatarao's suicide. Only the police and the YCP leaders would be alive in AP, if they continued to implicate and eliminate all questioning voices in the State.
The TDP MLC warned of serious repercussions if the YCP leaders went on misusing the police force to undermine the laws and take revenge against the opponents. The ruling party leaders should at least now stop their atrocities and attacks on the TDP activists.
Lokesh recalled how the Chief Minister was tearing apart the 'mangalsutras' of women by causing the deaths of their men with his own harmful liquor brands. How could Jagan Reddy ever become a protector of women when his own sisters in his family were under threat? One sister ran away to the neighbouring State and another sister was on the roads begging for justice for her father's murder.
Nara Lokesh said CM Jagan Reddy's atrocious decisions were having a direct impact on the day to day lives of women. They were unable to run their households smoothly due to steep hikes in house tax, current charges and prices of essential commodities. The Jagan Reddy Government was the only Government in the country to slap garbage tax on the people.
The TDP MLC advised the Jagan Reddy regime to change its attitude and start striving for women's security and overall welfare. The TDP would pray to the Gods for conferring good sense on the Chief Minister to work with commitment and without betrayals towards the well being of women.
