“Reach out to poor and downtrodden sections of society”: Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan tells group of NGOs
Vijayawada, April 28 (prajaamaravathi): Representatives of several non-governmental organisations (NGOs) called on Governor of Andhra Pradesh Shri Biswabhusan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan on Thursday. The group of NGOs that called on the Governor consisted of industrialists, health-care professionals, representatives of Bharat Scouts & Guides, journalists, teachers and artists, from different parts of the country. The members briefed the Governor about their activities and services provided by them to the needy people through their organisations.
Governor Sri Harichandan appreciated the services provided by the group and said that they can play a key role to ensure that the benefits offered by the government under various welfare schemes reach the intended beneficiaries and stressed on the need to work for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden sections of the society.
Sri R.P. Sisodia, Special Chief Secretary to Governor was also present on the occasion.
