 Gudivada, September 7 (prajaamaravathi): Telugu Desam Party State Executive Secretary and Workers' Welfare Fund Coordinator Sistla Lohit said that the politics of violence going on in the state will be effectively countered.  Sistla Lohit issued a statement at the Krishna district gudivada on Wednesday.  He expressed anger that TDP state secretary Chennupati attacked Gandhi while in power.  It is suggested that the police should arrest the YCP rowdy gangs that are raging in the state.  He said that it is not appropriate to feel that we are being beaten if we are beaten.  He warned not to test the patience of Telugu Desam Party leaders and activists.  It is said that TDP leader Chandrababu himself monitored the health condition of Chennupati Gandhi who was injured in the attack by YCP leaders.  From time to time Chandrababu contacted the doctors of LV Prasad Hospital in Hyderabad on phone. He said that  TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh also visited Chennupati Gandhi together.  Chandrababu and Nara Lokesh are always standing by the TDP leaders and activists. House arrests of TDP leaders and filing of illegal cases have become commonplace in recent times.  He expressed concern that the establishment of Anna canteens to provide rice to the poor people is also being blocked.  He reminded that the people of the state are observing everything.  He said that in the next election, the people will give wisdom to the rioters. He said that Chandrababu has written a letter to the state DGP Rajendranath Reddy regarding the politics of violence going on in Kuppam constituency, attacks, harassment and illegal cases against TDP leaders.  He said that Chandrababu has won as MLA 7 times from Kuppam Constituency and till now there have been no incidents of violence.  During Chandrababu's visit to Kuppam on 24th, 25th and 26th of last month, Telugu Desam Party cadres were attacked.  He said that there is no place for violence, threats and harassment in democracy.  Sistla Lohit said that Chandrababu has asked the police to act impartially in maintaining peace and security.
