born to Smt. Suvarchala and Shri Sambasiva Rao on 7th March 1976, and he hails from Burripalem of Tenali Mandal, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. He married Dr. Sriratna Koneru and was blessed with two offspring. He is now aged 48 years. His father, Sri Sambasivarao, belongs to an Agrarian family and moved to Narasaraopet town for the Hotel business. Sri Sambasiva Rao has participated actively in the activities of the Telugu Desam party since its inception. He has been known as Madhuri Sambaiah by citizens of Narasaraopet Town for two decades.

Dr.Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar studied at Narasaraopeta Municipal School till his SSC and did his intermediate in Guntur. Though he studied in a government school in Telugu medium school, with his extreme dedication and excellent performance, he secured 27 ranks among 60,000 students who appeared for the EAMCET exam in the year 1993 94. He attained his MBBS degree from Osmania Medical College. After that, he went to America to continue his further studies. He completed his post-graduation studies and internal medicine at Geisinger Medical Centre in Pennsylvania. He proved his brilliance by scoring the highest marks in the PG course and even in the competitions held for medical students during the time of PG training. He secured two consecutive awards. Later, Dr.Chandra Sekhar served as Professor and Physician at Sinai Hospital at Johns Hopkins University for five years.

He completed his medical licensing exam in the United States, and at the time, he faced hardships in getting training and accommodation in the USA. To mitigate such hardships for students like him, Dr.Chandra Sekhar has taken a historical accession to compile his training material into a book and make it available to all the student community who are hailing abroad to the US for Medical Licensing Examination(USMLE). This is his landmark service, offering the lowest price to such students and receiving accolades all throughout the United States. He was only 25 years old by that time.

He started an online training platform, namely UWorld, for medical students attending medical licensing exams in the US. Through this, he earned fame and goodwill in the USA. Now, the platform provides training in other areas, such as nursing, pharmacy, finance, LAW, commerce, and accounting.

Awards :

Dr.Chandra Sekhar was awarded the “Entrepreneur of The Year Southwest Region ” award in 2020. It is the most prestigious business awards program for unstoppable entrepreneurs. The EY Southwest program celebrates entrepreneurs from North Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Wichita, Kansas. With other awards from media institutions and the ASU-GSV 150 summit, he was offered membership in many prestigious platforms in the US as a token of his talent and services rendered. He is also an esteemed member of the Forbes Business Council and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.

Services :

He provides medical facilities for NRIs who do not have medical insurance through the Pemmasani Foundation in Dallas, United States. He has helped to accommodate a hundred borewells in Palnadu District of Andhra Pradesh since 2010, establishing Reverse Osmosis plants and overhead tanks and providing drinking water through tankers in Palnadu District to mitigate the drinking water scarcity. He is providing scholarships for talented students through the Pemmasani Foundation. He also took off many services under Corporate Social Responsibility activity at the time of the international economic crisis. As he is very much interested in public services, he supported the Telugu Desam Party on behalf of the NRI wing, donated his earnings, and collected funds from NRIs since 2010.

Impressed by the services rendered to the public by Dr.Chandra Sekhar, Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu invited him to join active politics. He contested in the General Election 2024 from Guntur Parliamentary Constituency and won the elections with a considerable majority of 3.5 Lakhs.
