- The workshop aimed to provide government employees with practice in working in Hindi, reduce hesitation, and explore the possibilities of using modern technology and Hindi in official work
- Based on the feedback of the participants, the workshop successfully achieved its objectives.
The workshop, organized by the Regional Office of ESIC, Vijayawada, from 03.10.2024 to 04.10.2024, was chaired by Sh. A. Venu Gopal, Regional Director, Vijayawada. He expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the official language policy in the Regional Office, stating that the Vijayawada office has achieved many of the goals set out in the annual programme of the Official Language Department.
In the first session, Sh. Shyam Kumar, Joint Director (Official Language), Headquarters, New Delhi, delivered a lecture on "Why, How, and in What Manner to Use the Official Language Hindi, and Formats of Notes and Correspondence in Hindi." Participants discussed their queries to resolve their doubts. Sh. Kumar also gave a lecture on the most important topics for working in Hindi in government offices: notes, drafts, and correspondence formats.
Sh. Shyam Sundar Kathuria, Joint Director (Official Language), Southern and Western Zones, gave a lecture on modern Hindi tools. In the second session, he spoke on "Competitions and Incentive Schemes Related to the Official Language in the Corporation." His lecture on "Standardization of General Hindi Grammar and Spelling" was very informative.
In the second session, Sh. Pranava Kumar, Deputy Director and Official Language In-charge, Regional Office, Vijayawada, delivered a lecture on "Public Relations and Hindi: A Strong Medium for Reaching Insured Persons/Employers," which was a new experiment. He also gave a talk on "New Awakening of Hindi and Positivity toward the Official Language in Vijayawada: A Novel Communication."
Sh. Rajesh Sharma, Deputy Director (Official Language), Southern Zone, delivered a lecture on "Simple Use of e-Office, Easy Execution of Work in Hindi, Proper Digital Records, and Facilities Available in E-Mail."
