Visakhapatnam, May 12, 2025 (prajaamaravati );Shri T.K. Ramachandran, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), Government of India, visited the Corporate Office of Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) in Visakhapatnam today.
During the visit, Shri Ramachandran conducted a comprehensive review of DCIL’s overall performance and interacted with the senior leadership team.
He emphasized the need for the Corporation to focus on strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and competitiveness in the current market environment. He lauded DCIL’s vital contribution to maintaining navigational channels across the country through its dredging operations.

Shri Madhaiyan Angamuthu, IAS, Chairman, DCIL, briefed the Secretary on the Corporation’s ongoing strategic initiatives and its pivotal role in supporting maritime trade by ensuring navigability at major Indian ports. Shri Durgesh Kumar Dubey, IRTS, Managing Director & CEO, provided an overview of the organization's ongoing projects and financial performance.
As a part of the visit, Shri Ramachandran planted a sapling in the DCIL premises, symbolizing the Corporation's commitment to environmental sustainability. He also visited the DCIL Museum.
