 Gudivada, Aug 19 (prajaamaravati): Rice dealers have distributed free rice under PMGKY to 36 lakh 31 thousand 216 cardholders in the state, said Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani), Minister of State for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.  Minister Kodali Nani spoke to reporters at Krishna District Gudivada on Thursday.  There are a total of one crore 48 lakh 56 thousand 590 rice cards in the state, of which 5 kg of rice is being provided free of cost to each family member.  Meanwhile, Kurnool district has a total of 12 lakh 27 thousand 319 rice cards and so far 3 lakh 57 thousand 854 cards have been supplied free of cost.  Prakasam district has a total of 10 lakh 06 thousand 337 rice cards up to 2 lakh 42 thousand 320 cards, West Godavari district has a total of 12 lakh 50 thousand 075 rice cards up to now 3 lakh 07 thousand 521 cards, YSR Kadapa district has a total of 8 lakh 22 thousand 072 rice cards for 2 lakh 11 thousand 356 cards till date, Chittoor district for total 11 lakh 67 thousand 624 rice cards for 3 lakh 25 thousand 951 cards till date, Visakhapatnam district for total 12 lakh 82 thousand 107 rice cards for 2 lakh 97  thousand 459 cards till now. Vijayanagaram district has a total of 7 lakh 01 thousand 045 rice cards up to one lakh 69 thousand 335 cards, Anantapur district has a total of 12 lakh 31 thousand 605 rice cards up to now 3 lakh 39 thousand 949 cards, Guntur district a total of 14 lakh 92 thousand  005 rice cards for 3 lakh 80 thousand 415 cards till date, East Godavari district for a total of 16 lakh 53 thousand 564 rice cards for 3 lakh 98 thousand 464 cards till date.  Krishna district has a total of 13 lakh 08 thousand 039 rice cards up to 2 lakh 98 thousand 735 cards, Srikakulam district has a total of 8 lakh 19 thousand 290 rice cards up to 1 lakh 45 thousand 496 cards and Nellore district has a total of 8 lakh 95 thousand 508 rice cards.  So far, one lakh 56 thousand 361 cards have been provided free of cost.  Meanwhile, the distribution of essentials to rice cardholders across the state is on the rise.  29.16 per cent in Kurnool district, 24.08 per cent in Prakasam district, 25.71 per cent in YSR Kadapa district, 27.60 per cent in Anantapur district, 24.60 per cent in West Godavari district, 27.92 per cent in Guntur district, 25.50 per cent in Vizianagaram district, 23.20 per cent in Visakhapatnam district and 24.10 per cent in East Godavari district.  Minister Kodali Nani said the distribution process was 22.84 per cent in Krishna district, 17.76 per cent in Srikakulam district and 17.46 per cent in Nellore district.
