  Gudivada, Sep 22 (prajaamaravati): State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao (Nani) has said that CM Jaganmohan Reddy has protected the state's tailors through the Jagananna Chedodu Vadodu scheme during the Corona crisis.

 On Wednesday, Minister Kodali Nani met Gudivada Tailors Workers Welfare Association president Lankapalli Lazar at his residence in Rajendranagar, Gudivada town, Krishna district.  Speaking on the occasion, he said that Sheikh Subhan B from Ongole has been appointed as the Chairman of the Tailors Federation.  State Tailors Association President Vikki Nageswara Rao will preside over the swearing-in ceremony at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada on the 26th of this month.  Minister Kodali Nani invited to be the chief guest at the event.  Later, Minister Kodali Nani said that during the election campaign, CM Jaganmohan Reddy had promised to protect those who depend on caste-based occupations.  As part of this, he said that govt had introduced the Jagananna Chedodu Vadodu scheme to support Nayi Brahmins, Rajakas and Tailors.  He said the tailors did not open their stores because of the corona lockdown.  He said that the situation of losing employment has arisen.  Nayi Brahmins, Rajakas and Tailors, who depend on caste-based occupations for their livelihood, receive Rs.  10 thousand for five years. CM Jaganmohan Reddy said steps have been taken to provide up to Rs 50,000.  Until the next 2023, all the beneficiaries will get Rs.10 thousand.  He said Nayi Brahmins, Rajakas and Tailors all belonged to backward classes and the government's aim was to stand up for them.  Tailors suggested that all should solve their problems in unison.  The late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy said the federation was set up for the welfare of the Tailors.  Minister Kodali Nani said that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has appointed a new chairman for the federation.  Later, Minister Kodali Nani was felicitated by Lankapalli Lazar, President, Gudivada Tailors Workers Welfare Association.  Gudivada Tailors Workers Welfare Association Secretary Chand Basha, Treasurer Mummuleti Mangaraju, Vice President Chalapaka Satyanarayana, Joint Secretary Kodali Narasimha Rao, Honorary Women President Chalasani Umarani, Women President Sana Padmavati, Women Secretary Aganaparthi Annapurna and others were present on the occasion.
