Red Cross gets donation for digital library
Vijayawada, July 1 (prajaamaravathi): Sri Vadde Sobhanaadreeswara Rao, former Minister handed over a cheque to Andhra Pradesh Governor and President of Andhra Pradesh State Branch of Indian Red Cross Society Sri Biswabhusan Harichandan, for setting up a digital library in the Konaka Kanakamma Ashram being maintained by SPS Nellore district branch of Indian Red Cross Society at a programme held in Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan here on Friday.
Sri Sobhanadreeswara Rao together with Sri Makkena Ankaiah Choudhary made a contribution of Rs.25,000 each to Red Cross Society for the purpose of setting up a digital library in the Konaka Kanakamma Ashram. They requested the Governor to protect the Ashram land from encroachments.
Sri R.P. Sisodia, Special Chief Secretary to Governor, Sri A. Sridhar Reddy, Chairman and Sri A.K. Parida, Secretary & CEO of AP State Branch of Indian Red Cross Society, Sri B.S.N. Reddy, Sri Rangaiah Naidu, Smt. Guduru Lakshmi and others were present on the occasion.
