Governor launches ANU Alumni Website and Logo


Vijayawada, December 29 (prajaamaravathi): Andhra Pradesh Governor Sri Biswabhusan Harichandan launched the Website and Logo of Acharya Nagarjuna University Alumni Association at a programme held in Raj Bhavan here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sri Harichandan, said that former students of the Universities should contribute their best by participating in programmes for the growth of higher educational institutions in the State. The Governor also released a wall magazine for the upcoming Alumni Mega Meet. 

The Governor further said that the Alumni Associations in several higher educational institutions are already actively involved in many development programmes and hoped that the Nagarjuna University Alumni Association, would also do the same and advised them to focus more on issues like construction of buildings and helping poor students to pursue higher education courses etc.  Prof. Rajasekhar, Vice-Chancellor of the University explained to the Governor about various programmes being undertaken by Acharya Nagarjuna University in general and the development activities being carried out with the help of the Alumni Association, in particular.

Special Chief Secretary to Governor Sri R.P. Sisodia, Rector Prof. Varaprasada Murthy, Registrar Prof. B Karuna, Engineering College Principal Prof. Siddaiah, Alumni Association Director Sri Anjaneyulu, Coordinator Prof. Saraswathi, Distance Education Center Director Sri Nagaraju, Joint Secretary to Governor Sri P.S. Suryaprakash and others participated in the program.
