Railway Development Works of Andhra Pradesh with Railway officials


Shri Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma, Hon'ble Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries, Government of India, participated in a review meeting with Railway Officials today i.e., 19th September, 2024 at the Divisional Conference Hall, Vijayawada, to discuss the ongoing Railway Development Works in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The meeting aimed to review progress, address challenges, and expedite completion of critical projects.

Shri Narendra A. Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway welcomed Shri Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma, Hon’ble Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries, for the review meeting.  Shri Narendra A. Patil, DRM and a team of Branch officers briefed the Hon'ble Minister on the various Railway developmental projects’ in Vijayawada Division jurisdiction through a PowerPoint presentation. The meeting focused on the Kotipalli – Narasapur New Railway Line and its current status.  Railway Officials briefed the Hon’ble Minister regarding the works & bridges construction already finished by Railways and the pending land acquisition to be carried out by State Government in various stretches of Amalapuram – Narasapur areas.

Shri Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma discussed regarding the progress of Rail Over Bridges (RoB) and Rail (RuB) Under Bridges and pending Railway line and safety works of Vijayawada Division. He directed the officials to expedite the RoB & RuB works at the earliest. Hon’ble Minister also reviewed the various popular train demands and discussed regarding the provision of Mail/Express trains stoppages in his constituency, provision of New Vande Bharat Express with the Railway Officials. The Hon'ble Minister also took stock of the progress of Amrit Bharat Station works and important passenger amenities. He stated that the Central Government is keen on Andhra Pradesh's advancement promoting regional development and addressing specific state needs especially in the Railways sector. He exhorted the Railway Officials to work collectively and in coherence with State Government in coordinated manner for translation into tangible outcomes, benefiting the people of Andhra Pradesh. 

In the end, Shri Narendra A Patil thanked the Hon’ble Minister for taking part in the review meeting. Shri M V S Ramaraju, Chief Engineer (Construction); Shri Srinivasa Rao Konda, ADRM (Operations); Shri V Rambabu, Sr. DCM; Shri S. Varun Babu, Sr. DEN (Co-ordination); Shri T Suresh, Sr. DEE (Maintenance) and Shri P Sathya Swaroop, Sr. DOM (General) of Vijayawada Division, SCR took part in the review meet.
